About The Band

 

The band was formed in 1990. We were just some musicians who wanted play for the fun of it. Honey Voshell got the idea to form the group and made the calls that got us together. We just rehearsed it for several months. Finally, we booked a few jobs and took it for a test drive. The response has been tremendous. Thanks to  your support we've have been voted

 Delaware's Favorite Local Band

 for 10 consecutive years.

Alan Kessel is our lead vocalist and front man. Alan hails from Seaford DE and is a manager for RE Michel. Alan has been the lead vocalist in many of the areas most successful groups.

Dave Joiner is our guitar player. He retired from the DE Dept. of Correction due to injury. David played in the 60's with some well known artists at the time including the late great Gene Pitney.

 

Chuck Sapp is our sax player. He lives in Wyoming, DE and is a science teacher at Lake Forrest. He has played with many regional bands. Chuck has performed at Hersheypark, Dollywood and Lincoln Center

Jack Wright is our bass player. Jack works for Maryland school system. Jack is an outstanding vocalist as well as an excellent musician.

  Gary Spengler is our trumpet player. Gary is the former music director at Wesley College. He gives the group the "Authentic" Latin sound on some of our livelier numbers.

Phil Staley is our keyboard player. Phil works in management at LD Caulk Inc. Phil is the life of our party. The Wild Man on stage. He was recently featured in Keyboard Magazine.

                  

Honey Voshell is the band leader and our driving force. He has been a professional performer for decades and has shared the stage with many top artists including Wanda Jackson and Patsy Cline. Mr. Voshell is a local icon known for his playing and teaching expertise.
